2020 National Scholarship Recipients

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to an Active Member studying for either undergraduate or graduate degrees and can be used toward tuition and books. The 2020 National Scholarship essay topic was “Philanthropy Throughout the Community.” We had many generous donations and were able to award an additional $500 scholarship to the first runner-up and $300 scholarship to the second runner-up. The National Scholarship Committee met on June 7, 2020 when all essays were reviewed and the committee collectively decided on recipients.

We are pleased to announce Madeline Marusich of the Alpha Chapter is our overall 2020 National Scholarship recipient. Raechelle Sandoval of the Eta Chapter is our first runner-up and Kalli Schaefer of the Alpha Chapter is our second runner-up. Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you to all of our essay writers!

2020 Alpha Sigma Kappa Educational Foundation Meeting

Our annual meeting was held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 virtually on Google Meet. We held elections, reviewed the budget, and discussed the path toward endowment. Jessica Reese McIntyre was re-elected as President, Mary Matthews was re-elected as Secretary, and Jenifer Henslee Peck was re-elected as Advisory Board Member. Thank you all for your service this year.

2020 National Scholarship Topic Announcement

The 2020 National Scholarship essay topic is “Philanthropy Throughout the Community.” Essays are due May 1st by 11:59pm Central time. Please submit your scholarship essay using the Scholarship tab above.

Who is eligible for the National Scholarship? Any active member that will be active in the Fall 2020 semester. The member can be an undergraduate or graduate student. However, alumnae members are not eligible to apply for the National Scholarship.

The National Scholarship Committee met on June 23, 2019 when all essays were reviewed and the committee collectively decided on recipients.

We are pleased to announce Rachel Penner of the Beta Chapter is our overall 2019 National Scholarship recipient. Mary Irene Juno of the Kappa Chapter is our first runner-up and Danielle Voelkerding of the Kappa Chapter is our second runner-up.
